Hi! 👻
First, don't forget to confirm your attendance using the Seats Mobile app!
Second, I'm going to start every lecture with a meditation from the fantastic Sitting Still Like a Frog book, all read by Myla Kabat-Zinn. If you don't want to participate that's completely fine.
Let's start with everyone showing their presentations your revised project thoughts, including your first working app, centred around your key moment.
STOP PRESS! Let's have a moment to discuss the end of year show - everyone needs to submit their app concept via this form. I've already posted it on the Slack, but let's go through it together now and make sure everyone has submitted. We need to do this so that all the students across all courses get a chance to use the show space - but in our case, we'll have all apps installed on each headset. In addition there is a session tomorrow on Teams that you MUST attend - here is the Teams link: 22 April 2026 15:00-16:30 - "This session will give an overview of the Festival, explain the application, key dates and selection process, as well as offering practical guidance on how to communicate your project effectively".
Let's have a discussion about uploading your project code to GitHub. Why might this be a good idea? For a backup? For the community? For marketing? To show to potential employers? Selfishly, I'd love to have 15 great projects on GitHub that I can point to as evidence of this first year of Spatial Computing focus. Would you like me to show you how to make a new GitHub repository? Don't forget this great YouTube playlist from Daniel Shiffman: "Git and GitHub for Poets".
Studio time! Please start working - I'll come round individually.
Thanks! Please watch all of the content from today's lecture as homework.
