Workshop 0: Introductions

What we are going to talk about now:

  1. The aim of these workshops.
  2. Introduce yourselves.
  3. Resources for these workshops.

1. The aim of these workshops.

  • Give you as much practical experience (aka failure) to allow you to level up quickly.
  • Having an organised way of recording what you are doing and your progress to your goal is just as important as choosing what your goal is.
  • I started recording everything in text files after I had a disagreement on a project and couldn't prove what I said happened, happened. Also, naming conventions.
  • Pair programming is encouraged via which ever platform you like (Skype, WhatsApp, Facetime, Zoom, TikTok, Instagram, whatever)
  • I have a bunch of exercises ready, if you get to the end of the content in each workshop - just message me!

2. Everyone introduce yourselves!

  • How you want people to address you.
  • How are you feeling today?
  • What course are you doing at UAL?
  • What is your favourite song at the moment?
  • What is your favourite book at the moment?
  • What is your favourite thing to do at the moment?
  • What is your Instagram? I will follow you.
  • I'll go first!

3. Resources

Thanks!
